Past. Present. Future
Which one do you live in? 🤔 Nowadays, you can’t avoid the phrase “Be present”. But what does that truly mean and why is that something that so many people are focused on?
Future: I used to be consumed with the future. Planning years in advance in my relationships or jobs, etc… Only to find that life doesn’t just go the direction you map 🗺 out. Often times, you’ll have a full plan for the future and something will be thrown into your life that completely changes all of those neatly organized plans 😖.
Past: I’ve met so many people who allow their past to consume their present. They carry some very heavy regrets, hurts, etc.. on their backs as if it’s chained ⛓ to them. You can spot these individuals right away. They have this gloom that casts over their face 😕, sometimes a bitter and resentful way about them.😒 Whatever it is, it’s not pleasant to be around, and I can only imagine how difficult it must be to carry all of that past with them day in and day out.
So that’s leaves us with the present. There are literally thousands of 📚 written on this very subject. Ultimately it comes down to this: the ONLY thing you have control over is the present. The past is gone.👋🏼 The future hasn’t arrived yet. You need to let go of the past in order to step into the future. The present, however, is where the juicy 💦 good part of life is. Be there. Because the other two options don’t exist anymore/yet.
The more you can embrace this concept the less anxiety you will have in life. 💯
