Find the smallest reason to enjoy today. It’s hard to do sometimes when you have daily life struggles. 😔
But instead of allowing those struggles to weigh heavily on you, as they can seem enormous at times, find the simplest thing that will bring a smile to your face. 🙂
My simplest thing this morning was taking a moment and watching a 🦋 on a 🌸 . Sounds so whimsical and childish, but what’s wrong with that? 🤷🏻♀️We abandon those “childish” enjoyments to become adults. Why? 🤔
For some reason, we were taught that we had to grow up and out of those tiny moments that make us smile. 🤔 But what we don’t realize is those small things are what grounds us and calms even the toughest days.
Growing up isn’t for me.🙅🏻♀️ I love enjoying the things I loved as a kid. That’s what keeps me young and full of gratitude 🙏🏻 even in my darkest days. It reminds me that my problem is so small in comparison to how grand the 🌎 is around me.
And if you need science to prove it, smiling releases the “feel-good” neurotransmitters in our 🧠: dopamine, endorphins, and serotonin. It lowers our heart rate, stress levels, blood pressure, and boosts immunity. 💯
Yes, that 🦋 on the 🌸 this morning put things perspective for me. Does it solve my life challenges? No. But it does make me smile. And sometimes, that’s all you need. 😌
